“Quotes help us understand, inspire, motivate, clarify and show our approach to things around. This is why people and I love quotes.” - Takyou Allah Cheikh Malaynine

Hey, how are you doing today 🙂

The sun is shining here and it’s a gorgeous day. It always makes me feel so much better when it’s blue skies and there’s not a cloud in sight.

If you’ve taken a look around my blog, you’ll see that 99.9% of my posts are fairly in-depth like my how to start a successful mummy blog, however, this one is short, sweet and inspirational, where I’m sharing my fave quotes with you…

I LOVE a quote and reading one first thing in the morning can really help shape my day and put a smile on my face.

I also always, always, always have a quote on my laptop, so that as soon as I sit down to start work for the day, I see that little piece of motivation and inspo to get me in the right frame of mind…

So here’s 10 Quotes To Motivate, Inspire & Bring Positivity Daily 🙂 🙂

10 Quotes to Motivate, Inspire & bring Positivity to your day

Quote #1

Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently

I love this quote and I love Marie Forleo. When you’re working towards a goal or a dream, consistency is key.

You can’t just rock up when you feel like it and expect results! You have to work day in, day out and grind like there’s no tomorrow.

Only from doing this does success appear and you get rewarded for your hard work and dedication.

So always keep at it and never give up!

Quote #2

Being vulnerable is being brave”

Live Beautifully is her blog and podcast which you should definitely check out, as it’s amazing…

I totally resonate with this quote because it took me a long time to go ahead and even put my blog live. I didn’t want to be criticised or put down. I didn’t want to experience negativity for something I’d worked so hard and put so much effort into.

But in the end, I had to just click that publish button and be vulnerable to what was to come, because nothing ever happens if you don’t take that leap of faith and be brave enough to put it out there…

Quote #3

Motivation is what get’s you started. Habit is what keeps you going

Oh boy, where are you some days motivation…

We all wake up some mornings and wonder who’s taken our motivation mojo!

It’s impossible to be “on it” every single day as that would be exhausting, but for me, it all comes down to loving what I do.

I’m absolutely in love with my blog and it never feels like a chore to work on it.

I do however get many days where I don’t know whether I’m coming or going because I have so many ideas buzzing around my brain and these are the days I’m most unmotivated.

Forming daily, weekly and monthly habits or routines is what keeps me motivated (and sane).

If I plan out what I’m going to do each day on my to-do list notepad (the habit) then I instantly feel ready and eager to get started when I sit down at my laptop (the motivation).

As long as I’ve got my to-do list, my oat milk latte and an awesome podcast on in the background, I am set to get down to business.

Quote #4

There is no magic to achievement. It’s really about hard work, choices & persistence

Michelle Obama is someone I love following her on social media and her book “Becoming” was amazing.

This quote really hits home because nothing in life that’s worth having, happens without hard work, persistence and the choices you make along the way.

There’s been a lot of bad choices along the way and I can honestly say, blogging is the BEST and most rewarding avenue I’ve been down.

I’ve worked many late nights and many long days around my boys because I’m so determined to make this dream of mine a reality…

I don’t ever want to give up and I strive daily to continue down the path I’m on. I want to get my blog and content out to as many mums as possible because my passion is to get other mums blogging.

Blogging can be really tough sometimes, but it’s such an amazing journey that I want others to experience it too…

Quote #5

Kindness is like snow. It beautifies everything it covers

Kindness costs nothing and I’m mindful every day to be kind to everyone I come across.

A big blogging fear of mine, was people being unkind and criticising what I put out, but you really have to block out the noise and concentrate on the people who want to read/listen/see your stuff, because they’re the ones who will be along with you for the ride.

You can never please or appeal to everyone and neither would you want to. It’s about finding your tribe and providing for them and what they want and need.

There’s far too much trolling online and it can really get in your way if you let it.

As long as you’re kind, considerate and honest, then you will go far…

I teach my boys every day how important it is to be kind.

Kind to their friends, their family, their teachers and people they come across that they don’t know.

I say that even if people are unkind to them, they should still give kindness anyway, as it makes them the better person…

If kindness radiates from you, then you’ll attract kindness back.

Quote #6

Don’t just commit to the sprint. Commit to the marathon

Blogging is 100% a marathon…

If you want to blog, you have to be in it for the long haul, as it won’t be an overnight success.

With anything in life, you should always commit to it for the long run.

There aren’t many things that give instant success and if there are, they may not be all they crack up to be.

I feel commitment, in general, is a big thing and we’re all committed to so many things already.

Commitment to marriage, commitment to taking care of our children, commitment to working out daily…

When it comes to blogging, stick with it and keep going, because you will reap the rewards 🙂

Quote #7

Coffee in one hand, ambition in the other

This is me – coffee in one hand, sat at my laptop working to grow my blog every day (after taking my gorgeous boys to school that is)…

Ambition - A strong desire to do or achieve something!

Ambition is what drives me, well ambition and a pure passion for wanting to help other mummy’s like me get started with their very own blog…

We all need to have ambition in life as it’s what get’s us up in the morning and gives us a purpose in life!

Our goals and dreams are achieved by that ambition, as we strive to get to where we want to be.

You do have to be careful though as it can take over your life, ending in you suffering from burnout and stress.

This happened to me back in 2016, when I was working on a digital product launch (before I decided blogging was the way forward for me) and I was up extremely late at night (like 2-3am) with a 1 and 2.5-year-old at the time.

I was exhausted and a complete mess. I was grouchy with the kids, I was grouchy with my husband, I felt ill and sluggish constantly…

It wasn’t a great time for me at all and I realised that I couldn’t continue down this road of destruction to my health and family time.

I didn’t do anything after that product launch for a good 3 years, because it completely put me off doing anything online.

I really thought about it again in 2019 and realised I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, other than helping people because I had a ton of knowledge under my belt of creating blogs and websites and all that goes with them and I just wanted to share it all…

So I decided that when my youngest son started school in September 2019, I would start my blog (which I had been planning out in the background, writing endless notes and ideas) and make my dream become a reality!

BUT then just as I’d got it all ready, the pandemic hit and like pretty much everyone else, I saw myself at home with two kids for 5 months, not able to do anything, other than home-school and housework…

Anyway, enough about me with all that, the reason I was sharing it is that without the want and ambition to make my blog happen, it would have just been a pipe dream, because I was really put off back in 2016.

Boy am I glad I stuck with it because I honestly could not imagine doing anything else 🙂 🙂

Quote #8

If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit

I’ve thought about quitting so many times when the goings got tough and I’m exhausted – but that’s exactly it, I was exhausted and when you’re overtired and burning the candle at both ends, nothing good ever comes from that.

It can be really hard to switch off when you’re buzzing, doing a ton of things and have a million ideas running through your head, but you have to.

You have to learn to take a step back, take some time out for self-care and family.

Having some “YOU” time away from the computer screen is an absolute MUST if you wanna keep productive and sane!

Of course, there are going to be days (and nights ) where you’re grinding and need to keep working, but keep those times to a minimum.

Keep to-do lists small, keep your water bottle topped up and remember to step away from the screen regularly and have a life…

You can and will achieve the things you want, even when you’re not working 24/7…

We’re always told that the only way to get something, is to be on it constantly, but you have to think at what cost!

It’s not healthy for anyone and I’m a huge advocate for working hard and putting my all into my blog, but never at the detriment to my health (physical, mental or emotional) or for spending quality time with my kids and husband.

I work when my boys are at school and in the evenings a few nights a week when they’re in bed, but I have weekends free because this is my time for them.

It means I’m going to grow slower than a lot of people, but I’m fine with that because I’m in it for the long haul and I’m enjoying every step of the way, at my own pace…

Quote #9

I never lose, I either win or learn

Blogging is hard going, I’m not gonna lie and I’ve made a few mistakes along the way, but I’ve never seen any of them as a failure or loss in any way.

You can only learn from the mistakes you make and get stronger and better.

There will be many wins and many failures, but blogging is one of those things where no two blogs are the same…

Something which works for one may not work at all for another.

It’s all about testing, trying new things, being consistent and giving strategies long enough to have a fighting chance.

The more you blog, the more you’ll get a feel for what yours needs to succeed.

You’ll scope your audience out and find out what they want and need and then you can cater to that.

Familiarity comes from being around your tribe, communicating and building a relationship with them.

Winning feels great when you get that first subscriber on your email list or make that first £1.

Reward yourself with all the wins, even the small ones and don’t feel bad when things don’t go to plan and something doesn’t work out.

My moto – try and try again and never give up 🙂

Quote #10

Money looks better in the bank than on your feet

I wanted my final quote to be something from someone I admire a lot and that’s Sophia Amoruso who was the founder of Nasty Gal retail fashion brand and the author of #Girl Boss, a book which I loved reading and it really opened my eyes to female entrepreneurship and business in general.

Her book is actually mentioned in my top 5 Books for Budding Female Entrepreneurs post because I find her truly inspirational.

I’ve got to admit, I got into a lot of debt when I was younger.

As soon as I was old enough to get a credit card, that was it, I was spending, spending, spending on anything and everything.

I had no real value of money and how much hard work it takes to actually make it (and keep it).

That’s why I love this quote so much…

It’s definitely ok to treat yourself, especially when you first start making money from your blog because you want to reward yourself for all your hard work and dedication.

BUT… you need to be reinvesting most of the money earned back into your blog to start with, as there’s always something to invest in or that needs paying for.

Blogging is absolutely a lot cheaper than a brick and mortar business, however, there are still costs involved as it’s not completely FREE…

I just find this quote kicks me in the backside and puts things into perspective when it comes to money.

BONUS Quote

Positivity always wins, always

So I wanted to add in a Bonus quote for you and finish the post on a positive note.

If we remain positive in everything we do, we keep our stress levels down, we become stronger and we’ll feel more confident.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading these and have taken something from each and every one of them.

A quote a day keeps you from feeling grey…

There’s hundreds of quotes I could mention, but the post would be forever long if I did that.

I’ve just given the ones I feel are able to give a big impact on your day.

Have a fab day wherever you are in the world lovely xoxo

Oh and by the way, I created all these quote images within the one and only design tool Canva, which I use for everything.

I even have an entire post all about using Canva to create graphics, freebies and literally anything you can think of 🙂
